Unit 5- Surrealism

Surrealists used many exercises in order to train and expand their creativity/imagination. To start off this unit we will do three such exercises; surreal collage, found poems, and dream recording

Surrealists that may be of interest: Rene Margritte, Rafal olbinski, William Blake, Micheal Mashka, Salvador Dali, Vladimir Kush

Dali- perhaps the most reknown surrealist both for his work and his extravagant charachter

Phillip Halsman- photographer who worked on several series with Dali- no photoshop!

William Blake had several visions, and his dreams were realler to him than reality

Rafal olbinski- polish surrealist who paints posters for operas

Vladimir Kush- Russian surrealist painter

KaSSandra- surreal pieces achieved through photomanipulation
